Trees, gardens, wildflowers, and desert plants, framed and unframed original pastel paintings, pen and ink or colored pencil drawings, watercolors and oils make this an eclectic collection of artwork. Lindys fine art listed here at Old Spanish Trail Studio and at Old Spanish Trail Gallery ships free. We provide links to purchase originals listed at other galleries and exhibits, and we're happy to help you connect with them.
Lindy's inherent love of nature prompted her to study biology at Texas Tech, and that combination of formal study and hands on experience lends authenticity to the Texas artist's renderings of wildflowers and the diverse plants of the Chihuahuan Desert and Davis Mountains and other blossoming niches. Once in a blue moon, the landscape painter even does an intricate still life, but you have to catch those fast!

We want Lindy Cook Severns art to last for generations. All prints, whether open editions or uniquely embellished remarques are done on with archival (acid-free, non-reactive) ink and papers and matted in acid-free matboard. Original art, from the smallest drawings and watercolors to the largest oils and pastel paintings are done on archival surfaces. Lindy uses the highest grade pigments in each medium. Light-fastness of pigments is further protected by covering all but all paintings in artist grade UV protective glazing, whether glass or acrylic. Conservation framing on original art means no reactive materials come in contact with the artwork, so all tape and backing boards are acid free and create a barrier for the artwork.
